Born:1710 in Germany Arrived at the port of Pennsylvania on Sept. 9th,1738 aboard the Ship Glascow Walter Sterling Commander .The ship left Rotterdam,stopped in Cowes England for a provision stop. The group reported being from the Palatines.Total Number of passengers-349. Oaths to the Government were taken in the presence of George Thomas,Esq. Lieutenant Governor (records discovered in The Pennsylvania German Pioneers. By Ralph Beaver Strassburger Volume 2 of 3- -For The Pennsylvania German Society Norristown,PA 1934) Dewalt'swife was Anna Magdalena, Last name unknown-- Date of marriage and place unknown. They owned land in West Hempfield Township,Lancaster County Pennsylvania in 1741. Parcel c-63-220 205acres. They lived in Lancaster County until 1770,then moved to York County Pennsylvania. They owned 150 acres in York County at the time of Dewalt's death in 1787. Dewalt's First wife was Anna Magdalena, who died prior to 1780. Dewalt's Second wife was Anna Mary,who at the time of his will dated Oct.19,1786 At the time of Anna Mary's settlement of Estate in 1793 she mentions a daughter name- Anna Mary, a minor of 10 years of age. It is not know if Anna Mary is the daughter of Dewalt or One of AnnaMary's prior marriages. Dewalt's will is probated in York County,PA recordsas well as Anna Mary's estate settlement.Dewalt's farm was sold after Anna Mary's settlement. All records are in York,Co,PA The Guth's Attended the Lutheran Church In Lancaster County Pennsylvania. They also attended a church in York Co.,PA Possibly Near the town of Freysville.
